When planning your Thanksgiving dinner, don’t forget the tea…it’s the perfect accompaniment or after dinner beverage to add the finishing touch to your meal.
Fruit tisanes are a perfect solution for those who don’t want alcohol and want something iced instead of pop or fruit juice. At this time of year, teas with cranberries, elderberries or pear are a lovely match for the Thanksgiving table. If you’d like some caffeine, we suggest a green tea base as it nicely compliments white meat such as turkey or chicken.
If you’re like me, it’s hard to resist all the wonderful dishes the family pulls together for Thanksgiving dinner which means, by the end of the meal, I’m full to bursting and ready for a nap! Tea to the rescue! Rooibos tea has no caffeine, more antioxidants than green tea and can really help with that bloated feeling we get from over indulging! If you’d like some caffeine, a green tea mint blend might just do the trick or even a black tea with fruit to accompany those slices of pumpkin and apple pie.
